COR BLIMEY

New style, new pens, new new new. Hello, been working on a few bits today, some better than others. But here's my two favorite creations of the day. . .

FACE

Hello everyone,
Ive been in london for the past few days, my friend Mister Lego had his first solo exhibition last night at CAMP in old street, 'An animal a day keeps the doctor away'. It turned out great, you should can out his work here 'Eat Pencil'. It was inspiring to see such consistent, interesting and funny pieces, as well as catching up with old faces from Central Saint Martins. In the words of Mister Lego, 'A world take over is possible'. Real Talk. Been working on some new drawings, but on Monday I finished this painting (below). For the first time since starting third year I feel like I've found my direction with this piece, definitely the style I've been aiming for. This style remains consistent in my new drawings too, which will be completed and UP on here by Monday/Tuesday.

MUGS MCGEE

I'm thinking of creating a new character called 'mugs mcgee' who is always pissed off because people keep taking him for a MUG. I'm making quite a few new characters at the moment, and once complete i will base these around my FINAL project! I've been working on some other bits as well while in the studio, trying to keep on top of things but i've been ill :-( . . .Theres the 'feel like a cuppa' pieces which are variations of one piece (text and illustration), then theres a few random bits i did this weekend.

LADY

I'm in a crazy good mood right now// Just sorted an amazing internship for next summer after graduation. Such a great opportunity, i'm so excited! Anyway, apart from handling 'business' today, i also quickly finished this gaga piece i did a while back. I hope to get this printed on tee's and sell them to Japanese gaga die hard fans. Yeup.

YOU MELON!

I did a lymphomite piece last year called 'YOU MELON', so i thought i'd continue on from that with this new text piece. This made me laugh, and im hoping to do a series of illustrations/paintings to go with the text pieces very VERY soon. Sort of have an idea of where i want my work to go this year, and its pretty different from what i initially wanted to do. exciting yeah.
